I like it. Home invasion while in the living room? Your couch is cover instead of just concealment. However, my saferoom is my bedroom. If they made a bullet resistant bedskirt, bedspread and boxspring that would be ideal.
 
That is pretty neat, it would be fun to have as a novelty in a man room but $6700.00?

For that I could buy two very high end 30 gun safes, bulletproof vests for my whole family and a couch that would probably be more comfy than that....

From a practical standpoint it kind of reminds me of the aquatic car; you are better off buying a normal car and a normal boat.
 
Ha. Just saw this on another forum as well. The idea is good, but I think if I was gonna spend that much on a safe I would get multiple smaller ones for each room. Build em into the wall or into a nice looking cabinet bolted in. That way you have em spread out for easier/quicker access through your house. Plus, if a thief was gonna break into one, he probably wouldn't have the time to get all the safes.

At least that is what I would do if I had that much to spend on a safe.
 
Well, the product was originally created for a man who liked guns but lived in a small apartment and had no place to store them securely. I can definitely see where something like this might be handy there. I'd hate to have to move a 900lb couch every time I vacuumed though!
 
A safe that isn't bolted down is much easier to compromise. That one's already laying on its side, just waiting for prying tools or to be dragged away. Neat idea, but definitely not worth the money.
