Ohio is a test market area!

Come ON guys!

Ohio is where Kroger started posting their "no guns" signs... we managed to put and END to THAT nonsense by sticking TOGETHER!

Let's see a bit of comment here on this!

Is YOU local Costco posted yet? Are you going to stand w/your RKBA brothers and sisters and CANCEL your membership(s) until the policy is changed? (You DO get 100% of your membership fee back if you are in any way "dissatisfied) ;) :D ;)

Come ON people!

Get a fax number for Cosco corporate HQ. Every time you buy something from a competitor, fax them a copy of the receipt, with a note that you would have spent the money at Cosco, but that they prohibit entry by "state-certified good guys."

Guntalk, that's a GREAT idea... But I'm worried that it would be considered 'harassment' and lead to some pretty nasty legal issues.

What about sending a monthly receipt collage? :)

I'm not educated in the law, but your reference to "haassment" escapes my understanding. All you are doing is sending a polite fax, I assume the wording would be polite, informing Costo that their stated corporate policy, a policy that they have a right to promulgate, is costing them sales. Within the limits of the law, they can put into effect, such a policy, and people who were their customers, and are unhappy with Costco's policy, are free to take their business elsewhere, and if they so choose, notify Costco of the particulars. Seems like the exercise of freedom of speech to me, but then what do I know?

Faxing

Yep, OR just send a "monthly mailing" that was part of MY personal "strategy" to bring down the Krogers policy. Each month around the 3rd I'd go to the copyshop, and make 4 copies of my grocery receipts for the past month. Then I sent the ORIGINALS to the CEO. I sent ONE copy to the idiot who had "made" the policy, 1 to the REGIONAL manager and the last copy was in case I could figure out someone ELSE I wanted to "inform" of the business they were loosing :D

The FIRST mailing was about 2 month's worth of receipts - my grandmother's too, as I was able to talk her into avoiding Krogers for at least 3 months or until they "caved" ;) PLUS my cut in 1/2 membership card :) With a polite letter explaining I didn't like the policy and even though MY Kroger wasn't posted, I was boycotting Kroger until the policy changed for ALL of their stores. :D

It took about a month (26 days comes to mind?) after I FIGURED they'd cave for it to ACTUALLY occur, but they caved by degrees, slowly... I mis-guestimated their bureocracy, I think ;) :D
