Cost of used SW model 686-1

What would be a good price on a used SW Model 686-1 Stainless Steel with some dings / holster wear on it????

Length of barrel makes a difference...equal condition, I have seen about fifty buck premium for the 2.5" barrel ones.

IE, nice 4"er at 240 vs 2.5"er at 295. Those are last years prices in central AZ.

IIRC - I saw an ad from CDNN or somebody a couple of years ago with 686's (police trade in) for $225 or so

585's were $195 or so

those must have seen significant use, but I would think that you could consider that a safe minimum price for a 686

of course a civilian gun in nicer condition = more $$$$$

Don't pay more than $400 for one. But don't be afraid to pay $400 for one in good shape.

I just bought one about a month ago, Used LNIB 2 1/2" for $325.

You should be able to find a used 4" 686 in LNIB condition for around $300-325.
