Depends on WHICH 870P Police gun you buy.
You can buy a Police gun that's almost exactly like the MAX, minus the changeable sights.

The Model 4971 is VERY close to the MAX.

If you can live without the changeable sight system, which most people never change anyway, all you're looking at at most, is a new stock and the fore end light.

Depending on which model it is, you can sell the original stock, which reduces the price to you.

So, unless you buy the 4971, you can buy any model that comes with Wilson ghost ring sights, and a magazine extension.
Then all you have to buy is the fore end light assembly and a new stock.
 
The 4971 and the 870P Max are the exact same weapon. They are both the exact same order number, 4971. I am also pretty sure the 4449 has the interchangable sight post. I almost ordered the 4449 but decided to go with the 4407 because I think a bead sight works fine for buckshot (maybe even a little faster) and I also plan on adding an EOTech or Bushnell holosight down the road, so I would just have to remove the WC ghost ring anyway.
