If I ever become a police chief, mayor, governor, or supreme ruler, I will take all officer's glocks and return to the "good aiming good thinking" days of revolvers. I already have a model picked out, the Taurus model 617 .357 7 shot. This would save the taxpayers (slaves) millions, and end the way the cops turn our neighborhoods into shooting galleries, firing hundreds of rounds that pepper our homes every time some suspect they're chasing puts his car in reverse and bumps a patrol car. Once one starts pulling the trigger, on an adrenaline/testosterone high, they all tend to join in and before anyone knows it, they're already finishing their second magazine. Usually, the suspect gets hit once or twice, but dozens of shots are just "unaccounted for" (until I walk in my kid's bedroom and see one in the wall ).
When you only have 7 rounds, and have to cock it for a lighter trigger pull, you tend to think before you shoot. Several times this year, in various cities around the country, cops have even shot many rounds at fleeing vehicles . Every "investigation" always magically concludes that "department policy" was not violated. Since "department policy" and unfortunately the law, seems to allow cops to do whatever they want as long as they "felt" threatened, and until we change the law, a little "reasonable gun control" for the badged elite seems in order.
They would claim they would be "outgunned" with revolvers, but since revolvers inherently encourage better aiming habits, and criminals are even more careless than the worst of today's cops, we all can only be safer by changing them back to revolvers.
I have one of these and love it.
