Copper Brushing

Just curious...anyone every mess up the bore of their rifle by excessive scrubbing with a copper brush? I use a brush (only a couple passes) after a long shoot before patches and I worry about it scratching up the bore or otherwise harming the gun. I use the correct size brush but it still is *tight*. Any stories or suggestions?

Gunfool, Brush as much as you like........as long as you use a copper core benchrest type bronze / brass brush.
AND, a proper Dewey cleaning rod, and a good bore guide.........
