Coonan parts?

Anybody know where I can get an extractor and spring for a B model Coonan? Can I use one from a 1911 style pistol?
Also, does anyone know what the angle of the dovetail for the rear sight is?

TIA

Nukem, I don't have a source for parts for the Coonan. I really can't tell you if the extractor will work or not but I believe the dovetail is 60deg x .359". George

Contact "Harlan" at Federal Arms. I believe that the fellow who made these guns is currently doing some consulting work for Federal on a gun project. Perhaps he can ask or put you in touch.

Thanks, guys. I had to undo the previous owners extractor work. Lots of FTE's. I think I have it right this time, but would like to be able to get a spare if I can, also wanting to put an adjustable rear sight on it.

love the coonan

broke my heart when they went under.alot of the parts will work from a 1911.where can i get mags for it the b model.

The extractor of the Coonan is specific to the Coonan. 1911 extractors will not work as the extractor on the Coonan is an external extractor like a S&W auto. Don't know about parts, just made me think about my Coonan and if I break my extractor

There seems to be a lot of posts on the Coonan today. I love mine and like an idiot got rid of my spare in a moment of monetary embarassment.

Is there a Coonan site?

What holsters are most people carrying thier guns in?

My best load is the Remington Golden Saber 125 gr.

I have a custom hand carved duty rig made by Kenny Rowe from
AR.

Cheers,
