The guys over at LT got tasked with restoring an M1 Garand for a Korean war veteran, they did a fantastic job and he was really happy about it:

Sorry, but that coulda been about a 28 second video and I'd still be wondering if it was worth watching. Cool? You owe me 10 minutes of my life back...

I love it when people rationalize that I am responsible for what they do with their own time. If I had that ability, I'd be a billionaire.

Now I'm guessing you work for or are related to the people at the place who did such a "brilliant" job of "restoring" a Garand for the first time ever. It was telling that they were surprised that they could buy a missing part and replacement stock on the internet. They only cleaned and painted it for an old vet who obviously didn't want to be rude but couldn't hold, no less shoot, a gun he couldn't have cared less about.

What silliness. Cool story indeed. So dopey. If you haven't watched don't waste any time. The best part is watching the sped-up drive for a minute as the idiot in the video goes to the to trophy shop to have them laser-engrave a cheesy picture into the stock and the trophy shop guy explains he can't demonstrate what the engraving will actually look like... I'm not kidding!

It's pretty funny how wrong you are, actually. I found LT on a local board, went in, met the guys, and had the idea to do a show based on projects they have come in. I'm not upset that you don't like the show, nor am I surprised that you have disdain for a veteran or the shop guy's work, you're clearly not in the target demographic. It's easy to crap over somebody's work and be an armchair elitist, but all I have to say is, if you think you can do it better, knock yourself out.
