Cool new old pistol coming our way

We could use more handguns with style.

The tactical/utilitarian look is cool, but I like a trigger guard with a dramatic swoop, too.

This pistol never really went away. It was available in an orange plastic version that shot 1/4" plastic BB's for $2.00. The first "airsoft".

I think this is an offshoot of the 'what gun would you carry in Middle-Earth' thread. I mean, c'mon. If Celebrimbor was forging guns instead of rings, his plinker would look something like that. :D

I was at a gathering with Rex Applegate some years back, and he mentioned this pistol as a prime example of a handgun with a barrel/grip angle that encouraged the quick alignment of the handgun to the target. Apparently when he did some of his work training operatives in WWII their training time was limited, and he didn't have time for repetitious drills. If this makes it to production, it would be interesting to see how it works out in the field.
