Converting HK P7M10 to 10mm?

For the most part converting a .40S&W to 10mm is a good way to see a kB! first hand.

Now if you got one of the 6 P7M7s (.45acp) that where made then you could probably get away with converting it to 10mm

H&K P-7 M-13 Conversion

I think it was Dane Burns that's done two or three but I have not seen one.
I asked about the magazines being too short and he said the mag can be opened up inside?
I'll dig up the addy later
BTW, for the uninformed here, the M-10 was designed for the 10mm then later the .40 got popular, ahh well.

I believe that Dane Burns also refers to these types of conversions as a Voodoo gun and frowned upon in the professional smithing community.

I got this email from Mr. Difabio when I asked him how hw converted his P7M10 to 10mm.
"I used a Clymer reamer set and a set of match chamber
go/no go gauges.
The factory barrel replacement cost is $660 approx.
So be careful.
Everything else worked fine with standard JHP ammo,
some 200gr loads gave the mags some trouble.
You will need a custom 20lb recoil spring, ISI or
Wolff will make it for you."
He also stated that the lighter weight JHP's work better because they have to be seated much deeper to fit in the magazine. Also the pistol heats up much faster with the 10mm. I agreee that the P7 M10 was designed for 10mm.

PS didn't check the links that were posted above, makes my post redundant.

CORRECT TITLE

"Converting H&K P7M10 to Hand Grenade"

If people REALLY want one (and it's feasible) they will make one (and call it a 10mm Witness).
