i got one already coverted that needs a little work for a good price
1)the gas tube is pretty badly dented. is it possible to get a new on?
2)i have a cold black oxide refinishing kit . would that be an acceptible finish for a saiga?
3)how can i tellif its 922 compliant?
4)it seems to have excessive back and forward mag wobble. is there any way of fixing this? my chinese drum moves all over the place

in regards to the mags. sell it to me cheap and your troubles will be gone! jokes aside, don't saigas use their own specific mags? not ak 47 ones.

How much of a pain was that? I've heard that they were made to not be modified...also, isn't the stock finish good enough? I've heard that their finish is top notch.

Regarding the bent gas tube, I don't know if they use regular ak gas tubes or some proprietary something-or-other, if they use regular ones just keep an eye out at gunshows or check online. May have to dremel it to fit or have it done by a gunsmith for a couple of peanuts.

Dont' know about the mag wiggle though, sounds like the guy that converted it may have taken off a little too much of something...maybe you can stick a glob of jbweld & dremel it down so that things fit just a little tighter.

How'd ya dent the dang gas tube anyway? Can't just get some pliars or a long screwdriver & get it back right?

it cant be fixed . i already tried. i think its the safety that needs to be cut to make it take ak mags. is it possible to change out the safety?
