Does anyone who comes here legally or illegally have the right to stay? Does it
matter whether they have a job and become productive [not just RE-productive]
members of society? How do you determine the non-productive from the others and what course of action to take?

One part of the debate was that someone coming here from an impoverished nation
would either become independant or move on somewhere else. Counter-point is that
the Fed.gov pretty much takes care of anyone here whether they work or not so
even the illegals get a 'free ride' by the taxpayers who are citizens.

Just remember here that the problem is the social programs (including public schools) - none of which are constitutional anyway.

Socialists are good - they shift the argument to where we don't look at the real questions.

Battler.

When the idea of free immigration was formed there was the now obsolete idea that the immigrants would take advantage of the freedom to work and make money, learn a new language, become citizens and actually BE the American Dream.

Now it is different.

It would be interesting to know exactly how much ONE immigrant costs each US taxpayer.

Anbd then there are the hidden costs such as the dumbing down of America and the costly results of enforced multiculturalism.

You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,
