Considering a sight upgrade on my Sccy

I have a Sccy CPX-2. It's off to the service dept now for an inspection but will hopefully return soon.

My dilemma is that I don't shoot as well with it as I do with my Ruger Blackhawk. Do you think upgrading the sight would help? The Ruger uses a simple front fin and large rear notch. I though about changing the Sccy to a fiber optic front to see if maybe a smaller and more visible front sight would help.

Any thoughts? Why can I shoot so much better with the revolver? I really think the issue is with the sights because with the revolver I get a better feel of where I'm aiming but with the Sccy the sights often just blend in and I seem to be vaguely pointing the gun more than sighting it up.

no...

2 completely different guns not even a close comparison. You simply need to spend more time with the sccy and learn its DAO trigger.

I agree. Unless your eyesight does not allow you to easily see the sights on your pistol, you should invest in ammo and range time. You cannot buy better shooting. It takes time and practice. Some guns feel more natural, and we tend to shoot them accurately with less effort. Others, not so much.

What Koda said, The DAO trigger needs to be mastered and the only way to do that is to shoot the pistol.....a lot. The sights are adequate for a defensive pistol but the average ubtrained shooter will hit the bad guy's toe with the first shot. I keep one as a ""truck gun" and it gets shot by a lot of folks without complaining a bit.
