Considering a Glock 27

I found a fella selling a slightly used 27 with night nights for $525.

What do these things usually sell for? Is this a fair price?

How can a person tell if the 27 they are looking at will need the part replaced that people have talked about breaking on the 27's so I can talk the price down to compensate?

The recoil capture something or other.

Thanks.

$465.00 is a little high unless it is LNIB. Ive seen them for $450. As a matter of course it is recommended that the recoil spring/assembly be replaced with a Wolff or similar unit. It is not only stronger, but allows for different strength springs to be installed (the stock 16lb spring is too weak).

I bought my G27 NIB for $429 and the nite sights added another $60.

And yes, my recoil assembly malfunctioned at the range and disabled the whole gun. Glock replaced it, but I still bought a Wolff assembly (cost $34).

Even with the one bad experience, I trust mine and think you'd be hard pressed to find a better mini-gun. My G27 is my main summer carry gun (cooler weather finds me with my SIG 229 or HK Compact 45).

I paid $540 for mine new with night sights and a box of ammo. I thought it was a steal and think you are also getting a good deal. These things work forever so buy it. Regards, Richard.
