Currently getting fired up for a basic service pistol. Would appreciate any tips on the CZ-75 and cartridge reloading for 40 S&W which is the new police calibre here (with p..l..e..n..t..y of ammo) :)

Hello, Big Bunny. I cannot comment specifically on the CZ75 in .40 as mine are all in 9mm. Having specified that caveat, I can say that these pistols have proven themselves to be accurate, reliable, and tough in my experience. I've been shooting them rather heavily the last 15 years with no problems concerning excessive wear or breakage. Much of that has been with rather "warm" handloads and a sizeable amount with +P factory ammunition. I think the CZ75s are very, very good handguns. Best.

I carry a springfield P-9 in 40, pretty close. I like it a lot. I have had it a bit over 4 years I think. The only catch I had with reloading for it is that it has tighter tollerences (sp) than my taurus. So you will need the factory crip die. I think that is what it is call. You have to make sure the case bulge is taken out and sized to factory specs all the way around or you get a failure of the slide to go all the way forward.

Thanks...your advice greatly appreciated!
Good and safe shooting to you both.
