after 6 months of our beloved german shorthair dieing.. we have decided to replace him with another dog. we started checking out the shelters around denver. and finaly found a good match for our house i believe. he is a chesapeak bay/lab cross. called a chesador. he is 1.5 years old and was found as a stray in OK. and shipped here to denver for adoption. he seems to be adjusting well and the poor guy is sore since they nutered him before we could take him home.. we named him chester..

I'm not familiar with Chesapeakes, except for what I heard second or third hand. But I do know a lab mixed with just about anything will be a great dog.

Now take that boy for a swim.:)

well after the first night.. things are going well . no dog hair on the furniture and he came and woke me up about 4am. since he wanted to go out. let him out. he came back in and went and gave gwyn a big goodmorning kiss... :D . she was not happy. LOL. was kind of amusing from my side the bed though.. then he went back and layed down for the rest of the night.

i think we got a winner.

Gorgeous dog. That should be one hell of a good-natured, water-lovin' bird-retrieving family dog. You done good.

not sure what you mean. about his tail.. its normal. if you are talking about the first pic .. he was wagging as he is turning into the camera. and it is pointed almost straight at the camers..

Handsome Boy!! Way to go for adopting him. We have adoped an English Cocker which we had to put down after 16 years. We have also rescued a little 9 year old Westie who is a riot to have around....

+1 on adopting the little guy. I hate hearing about all those dogs they have to put down in those shelters when people go out and spend $1000+ on a designer dog.

From my own experience, the best dogs are adopted ones anyway.
