GUN CONTROL puts THE CONTROL
in the hands of THE CRIMINALS.

You all have my permision to
use any of these"signatures"
here, if you like!
---------------------------

-They call 'em POLUTE-TICIANS because they POLUTE the MINDS
of OUR CHILDERN with their ANTI civil/firearms RIGHTS SOCIALIST
political agendas. We of the older generations know B.S.
when we hear it.
-----------------------------------------------
In 2000, we must become politically active in
support of gun rights or we WILL LOSE the right
& the freedom.
-------------------------
NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE!!!
----------------------
Every year, over 2 million Americans use firearms
not to take live but to preserve life,....limb & family
.Gun Control Democrats would prefer that they are all disarmed
and helpless and die victims of felony violence, instead.

Another successfull www.gunsafe.org
pro-gun rally was held on the back steps of
the Conn. State Capitol Building yesterday.

Attendance was unoffically estimated to be
between 170 to 250 pro firearms rights people.
---------------------------------------------
DISCLAIMER:
All my information is second hand and subject to confirmation or verification and could be
in error-- as I was unable to attend the rally because I was at work.
---------------------------------------------
However, my friend had the day off from work and did attend and he enjoyed it a whole lot.

Key Speakers were Atty Ralph D. Sherman,

chairman of http://www.gunsafe.org email=chairman@gunsafe.org

and

Mr.Robert T. Crook, head of The Coalition
of Conn. Sportsmen at http://www.ctsportsmen.com/home.asp and
email=ccsct@erols.com

As I could not attend, I can only repeat the
impressions and memories of the Rally that were told to me ,secondhand, by my friend Stanly who did attend and stopped by my house
later that evening to tell me the story of the rally.

There were several other speakers at the Rally who Stanley thought might have been
Attourneys also, but other speakers were
not lawyers.

I/ we.. dont know if any politicians spoke at this years rally as they did last year.

Items of interest that were mentioned at the rally are listed below the disclaimer:
---------------------------------------------
Disclaimer: This was not what was said at the rally but only my views on topics allegedly covered at the rally. I dont know what was said at the rally as I was not there.
---------------------------------------------
Historical background of topic:
The Conn Turn in Your Neighbor Law that arrests guns and not gun owners for any unconfirmed complaint
call in or tip; with no evidence of any
wrongdoing whatsoever on the part of the gun owner.

12 law abiding gun owners have had their guns arrested and confiscated under this illegal and unconstitutional so called law in Conn.
this year and all twelve are sueing the State of Conn.

Only one person has had his arrested guns returned by the state because he was a police officer.

It is rumored that Conn gun owners do not like this law and think that it is bad and wrong and are working towards its repeal, if possible and it's modification, if repeal
proves to be not possible.

The new proposed CCW restrictions bill, which anti civil firearms rights politicians want to make law on not being
able to carry concealed with a Conn. State Pistol Permit on State Property and in State Owned Buildings and other publicly and towned owned properties and buildings and in any provately owned building or property which posts a sign forbidding CCW carry.

The worry of Conn Pistol Permit holders is that we will not be able to carry in many places where we may require the ability to
protect and defend (read prevent human violence from occuring to begin with)our selves ,our families and other innocent
bystanders.

We pay for a State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers and they way this proposed law
works, we would not be able to carry except back and forth to the target range and a few other places where we would not be forbidden from carrying.

To put a finer point on it, we pay the state
for a permit to ccw ,conceal carry for most
places and locations for defense and not JUST for a range transport permit and defense while driving in our cars.

A ccw is not much good if whenever you get out of your car to go in to buy something you have to lock your gun in the trunk with a trigger lock on it.

You can be assured that the criminals will not be locking their crime guns in the trunk and installing trigger locks on them.

It is when you go into the store or restarant
or convience store to buy something or to eat
that some punk comes in to rob & steal and spray innocient bystanders with bullets.

It is for just such circumstances that we
conceal carry to begin with, so that we can stop violence and protect our selves & others.

If we have to leave our defense guns locked in a trunk, what good does this do?
It only
insures that the criminal spraying the customers with bullets from his crime gun will be the only one armed and the good guys will all be disarmed and defenseless crime victims just like the colimbine victims, and end up dead, just like the colimbine victims.

The cost of gun control is paid for in the coin of the needlessly lost lives of honest
law abiding former gun owners to criminal
" crime gun" violence.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF GUNS : CRIME GUNS ARE BAD AND ARE USED BY CRIMINALS.

SELF DEFENSE GUNS
ARE GOOD AND WHEN EMPLOYED TO DETER
CRIME VIOLENCE ARE USUALLY NOT EVEN FIRED
BY LAW ABIDING CITIZENS ABOUT 2.5 MILLION TIMES EACH YEAR. In only 4 % of the 2.5 million deterance uses are the self defense
sidearms ever fired.

I was told that there were many speaches opposed to this proposed law at the rally
and that some orators really let into the anti civil firearms rights (mostly democrats) politicians responsible for these
bad and ill concieved proposed laws.

The pro-gun rally was organized on short
notice, with email only notices of the date and time of the rally going out only 48 hours prior to the rally , at least, I got my first hint of the rally"s date only 24 hours before.

The 200+ turn out on 48 hour notice shows the power of the internet as well as the dedication and commitment of Conn. gun owners to our civil rights as our civil rights apply to the Second Ammendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I was also told there were tv cameras covering the event: nbc affiliate channel 30
Hartford and abc affiliate channel 8 New Haven and some other tv affiliates that Stanley did not know the names of.

To be honest, Stanley is not a trained observer
but was the only one I knew who could go.

The main purpose of the rally was to let Conn. legislaturers know that the people of Conn. "We The People" are unhappy with our representation in Hartford, Ct as concerns
more illegal and unconstitutional
restrictions on our second ammendment civil rights.
