Congressional elections?

As of this moment most polls show Bush doing well, is there any info out there on how the Congressional races are going overall? Will the GOP gain the Executive only to loose the the House and/or the Senate? Can't seem to find any info that distills all the races down to who wills gain or maintain control.

"As of this moment most polls show Bush doing well" Don't be content with the polls showing George W. doing well. If you believe polls they only show him in a dead heat. If you don't think the media would skew the numbers to try to motivate the lib's and keep them from becoming complacent, you should reconsider. Now is not the time to relax!

First I hear the media is skewing the data to put Gore in the lead now I see that they are skewing data to put him behind which as of the info I heard this morning he is behind in at least two national polls by several points. My vote is set in stone as I am sure everyone who posts to this forums is. This is however irrelevant to the central point of this thread. How does Congress look to turn out in November?

For what it's worth, my guess would be 0-2 seat gain for Republicans in the Senate and a 0-6 seat loss in the House.

A good number of sheeple like to split the ballot, so I'd guess if Bush were to win it would not bode well for Congressional Republicans in close races.

Keep in mind that Trafficant (D-OH) stated that he would vote for Hastert as speaker, so even if the Democrats take the House by one vote it won't necessarily place them in official control (Though for all intents and purposes they already control it as the Republicans are gutless jellyfish).

our congressional race here is hot Our rep. Tim roemer a democRAT is running against Chris chocola. Romer might lose the main thing is that roemer doesn't even live in our district and that he is anti gun. I hope we get more pro gun people in congress, I just can't wait to vote.

I too cannot wait to vote. I believe that our side is much more energized even though some gun owners are not comfortable with George W. I don't see the same excitement from the democrats and non gun owners over Algore. Maybe the lefties will choose to stay home, but we cannot relax now. It is still too close. In MN, incumbent senator Rod Grams is having a tough time with lefty liberal Mark Dayton. It seems to be over the free prescription drugs and the fact that Grams has a son who cannot stay out of trouble, and the lefty liberals are making political hay out of his son's wayward behavior. We may have a shot at Bruce Vento's seat in the MN's 4th congressional district with Linda Runbeck. We aren't clear on her gun rights stance, but she has attended a members' meeting at a local gun club.
