Cong. and Senate Rep newsletters...how often?

I was looking at Jim's thread "Secret" and was thinking.

When I was a kid I recall us getting newsletters /reports from our Congressional and Senate Representatives at least every other month. You know the things saying "I'm doing this" "I voted this way" and a poll asking you to rank issues important to you.

Anyway, it dawned on me that in the last few years I may get one per year (if at all) and then a few months before elections a few of them. For example, I have never gotten one from Sen Boxer or Rep Capps.

Is this the norm or are Calif Reps an anomaly?

Well, from what I've seen California Reps are an anomaly in any sense of the word. However, now that you mention it I don't get as many newsletters as I did at one time.

Jim..

Why do you think that is? I believe it is indicative that Reps have lost perspective on their jobs and who they work for. Arrogance and they believed they have achieved the long dreamt "American nobility"?
