Confused about Taurus revos

I have not checked into this a great deal, however, I spent some time looking at the Taurus website and I was wondering what the REAL difference (if any) between the Ultralite models and the Total Titanium models.

Also, A friend of mine suggests a DAO model for no reason that he can say. I am thinking that he thinks that an external hammer will catch or snag on things/clothes. With this in mind, I still like the option of DA/SA and would take my first defense shot in SA if possible because of the shorter trigger pull.

Opinions??????

The Ultra Lights are usually mixed alloy affairs and tend to be heavier than the Total Titaniums but sometimes it's just a matter of the finish and, occasionally, porting. Don't worry about the name. Shop for features.

You can carry cocked with the correct thumb strap holster but I'd rather not have a trigger pull that short and light while drawing, possible under durress and in a position where the draw may require me pointing the gun at something I'd rather keep in tact.

The snag issue is defiantely a viable concern. Particularly for a pocket gun. Not such a big deal for drawing from a belt holster. For the best of both worlds try a shrouded hammer model. Protector I think is what Taurus calls them.

I just got a 455HS4 and it's a pretty good gun that I'm considering for CCW duty if it proves itself. You can read about it here.
