Mayo Coppa, Mayo Coppa, Mayo Maxime Coppa!

Well I went and did it. After bad mouthing these fine handguns for years (with out ever firing one, the ultimate sin) I fell in love!

Got me a model 36 coming!

I'd like to hear comments from other G36 owners.:D

True Confessions

Can't comment on the 36 except for the fact that I wish I had one ;) They do tend to be fine firearms regardless to what others may say.
I do own a 27 and it made a believer out of me
Good luck with the new one and I hope it serves you well, Happy Shooting :)

Mea Culpa it isn't.

Congratulations.

I've only held a G36, but I found the 30 fit my hand better, and I don't have very large hands. I guess it is that my fingers are a bit longer than average w/ relation to the rest of my hand.

I hope you hefted one before buying to get a feel.

Anyhow, the 30 shot nicely and the recoil was better than my 1911 with the same load.

Yea,
I thought my Glock facination (sp?) would end at a G19. To no avail. There is a G27 in my safe now as well.

hummph

Man that's the worst Latin I've ever read. LOL

Seriously, congrats on the new Glock. I have never shot the 36 but I like the feel of it. You'll be well served by yours, I know a couple of guys who swear by them.

It's tough to try to stop with only one GLOCK..I now have 5 and can't seem to part with any of them, even though I do have a yearning for others at times..My last one (last week) was a 21..I was very lucky at the GSSF meet and won that one..:)

You might sing Miserere mei Deus, secundum magnam misericordiam tuam all you want, but in the end you will relent, not repent.

I own a G17. I am perfectly satisfied with it. I may not compete with it, but I love it all the same.

(Sheesh! Who started this Latin thing?)

Sempre Avanti

Don't own the 36 but if it is anything like my 27 it will become your primary carry weapon. My other weapons in the safe rarely see the light of day any more. Just wait until my poor guns see more glocks moving into the safe.

I too am a born again glockaholic

Dude, welcome to the Dark side. I told myself that I wouldnt go below a .40 for personal defense. That was until I got a Glock model G19. The 9MM to me seemed a little on the low side for personal defense but after shooting over 400 rounds through the Glock I can tell you this. Accuracy, second shot placement and the ability for me to control all follow up shots made a believer in me. I am way more accurate with the G19 than the G30 or my Taurus .40 cal PT100. The Glock has since taken the lead role for my CCW weapon due to my accuracy and follow up shot capability. Its one fine shooter and now that it has night sights on it its definitely my #1 sidearm. For now.

Oh, and by the way, if your looking for a holster to boot try a Comp Tac undercover. My G19 loves it. Very comfortable, easy to remove and reinstall the weapon and a good price to boot. Enjoy your Glock.

You see, resistance was futile. You now are a member of the Glock collective. Your new identity is: 1 of millions!!!!

I do indeed own the G36. In fact, it is my carry pistol. The best compliment I can give it is that it is indeed the perfect Glock: chambered in a major caliber and small and thin enough to be carried in ALL of the standard carry modes, including the pocket!!! :) Even so, there are a few things that can be done to make it even better!! I installed the 3.5lb connector and reduced power trigger spring. This emulates the trigger pull of the cocked and locked 1911. For me, night sights were a must. (I am out and about a lot after dark.) Having small hands, I put on the extended slide release. The one thing I haven't done is modify the mags with the so-called +1 Pearce extension. IMHO, it destroys the concealability of the pistol in certain carry modes, like ankle and pocket!!!

Welcome to the collective and enjoy your new Glock!!! :D

I never got excited about the 36 because of the way it fit (or rather didn't fit) my hand. I have two others though. They seem to multiply in the dark.;)

Well elkslayer, I think you gave away your future. You didn't say I "bought A Glock" you said you "bought your FIRST Glock". It would follow that you will buy a second, etc. You are doomed.
