Condi Rice question

I've been hearing some talk of late re: Condi Rice leaving the Bush admin. if and when he is elected to a second term. Anyone else heard/read this? What about Powell, Rumsfeld and the other assorted players?
 
I've heard recently that she's up for Powell's Secretary of State position. I'd be surprised if she left. I think she runs a pretty tight ship up there. I'm pretty sure Powell is gone, though.
 
I hope she doesn't leave. She's very sharp. Condi would leave quite a gap.

True story.

I conjecture that she will be described in the press as "someone who will bring a new forcefullness" to the Office of Secretary of State.
 
Rumsfeld will be 80 years old by the end of any second term administration. I suspect that he will go honorably right after the election, if indeed the current administration resumes otherwise. It will be dressed up as his idea, which would be credible.
