Concealed Gun Cabinet

Saw one of these at a local gun show recently. Shelves on one side, mirror on the opposite side that could be opened up to store 2 long guns and a few other things. I've been searching around for similar things and haven't found a whole lot. I have seen one that is a grandfather clock, but has an area for an actual key, which draws attention to the fact that something valuable may be there. Anybody know about any other gun cabinets disguised as furniture (something that could fit long guns)?

Nicest one I've seen was a long cabinet with wood doors on top of a rolltop desk, quite a nice antique. For a wood cabinet that's going to be 'on display', it's not going to keep anyone out, locked or not, if they want in.

The best disguise is a horizontal chest, like a hope chest, just put the rifles in racks like they came from the armory.

I read some time back about a guy who cut a slot of his flooring out between two floor joists, . . . dropped in a open topped steel box for his guns, . . . made a form fitting wooden cover.

He put the cover on and then put a rug over it, . . . hidden in plain sight.

I've also seen safes and lock boxes that fit between wall studs, always thought they were neat, especially when covered by a full length wall mirror or a picture.

Again, . . . hidden in plain sight.

May God bless,
Dwight
