concealed carry permit

i am preparing my paperwork for my permit and it asks for a reason why i need a concealed carry permit i live in NJ and was wondering if anyone here had to do this and what they wrote down im also a united states marine and have been in 2 combat zones should i enclose a little of that info in there as well ? thanks alot for all the help guys!
 
Put "to practice the 2nd amendment right afforded me by the country I fought to protect" see how they like that. I'm ex-army, but since I saw in another post you said you were combat wounded and in this you said you're a marine, Semper Fi brother. Take care of yourself.
 
no problem and thanx! its been crappy til wilson combat offered me a nice discount! so im happy about that! im a quick healer the DOCs say so ill be running again in no time

self protection I believe is the only answer. Good luck with NJ.. I've heard it is a hard road.

In NJ, I strongly suggest that you find a competent attorney who has been down this road before. Otherwise your chances of success may not be great.

Self-protection is not a valid reason for CCW in some states. Better check around, as others have suggested. Be sure and DON'T mention your 2nd Amendment rights; that'll really rile them up.

You are right of course, but right doesn't always get you what you want. Achieving the goal may be more important.
 
kimberDW1884, I just wanted to say thank you for your service. In my opinion its wrong and disgusting to make veterans get a permit. I realy hope you get aproved. Mabie talking to an attorny is the best way to get your question answered.

Evan Nappen is the attorney you should speak to, if you intend to use an attorney. His specialty is NJ gun law...From what I understand, if you are only a lowly citizen of this state, you will never be approved for CCW. That priveledge is reserved only for those worthy of it, like our lawmakers and judges.:barf:

In order to get a NJ CCW permit you must either carry large amounts of cash or can prove and document an immediate threat to your life, supported by death threats, etc.. otherwise, you must be politically connected to Democrat Party politicians, be a BIG donor to the Democratic Party, or else be one of the "Elite" citizens of NJ such as a police officer or judge who are deserving of protecting themselves and their families and who are above us peasants who pay their salaries. Get that? We pay their salary, so they can believe they are special elites above us and then pass and enforce laws allowing themselves to CCW while they prohibit us to CCW. Makes sense doesn't it?
