Concealed carry in Il

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard a candidate state he was pro ccw for il. I did not catch his name but he is one of four people seeking the GOP nomination for governer. I can't help him, but though our TFL friends in Il might want to look into this and support him. I would love to see CCW in Il as I live in St Louis and travel to Il daily as part of my job. I wouldn't advocate being a single issue voter, but if his other ideas are in line with what you believe then maybe its time for a change.
 
I think the canidate you're talking about is Jim Oberweis.

I've been hoping and praying for a CCW law to pass in IL.

Honestly it reached the point where IL politics can't get any worst. I just want the right to defend myself and my family.

I am a transplant from IL myself, I got out when I was three. I'm praying you can get someone into office with some sense.

All you people from IL, here is a chance to right some of the wrongs in your state. My thoughts are with you.

I just checked out his web site. He looks like he may be pretty good all around. If he gets elected, I think you can expect to see some major changes around IL.
 
I too am an Illinois transplant. I seem to have heard that a CCW law was almost passed but the day it was to be voted on was the day Columbine happened. Of course no politician would touch the issue with a ten foot pole after that. It's a shame how many more lives have been ruined by a lack of parenting for two boys because of nonsensincal laws passed in reaction to what they did.
