Next month I am taking my 9mm browning hi-power into a competition in VA. Its a great gun and I am pretty acurate with it, but I am wondering:

1. would it be worth it to get some match grade ammo.

2. If so what company makes the best.

I have been shooting my HK USP .45 alot so I don't think the recoil is going to be anything to worry about. But anything that will aid me in the comnpetition would help.

For action pistol events, such as IDPA and USPSA, any good quality ammo will do. It is more important to know where your gun shoots (to point of aim) with what weight bullet, ie, 125, 115 or 147 grs. Personally I use reloads, unless it's going to be a state level, or higher match. By the way, there are a number of action pistol clubs in your area.
