Competitive nuances in SW deal

First - I saw the SW CEO say : "It was the right thing to do"

But, in the agreement good old SW is trying to get competitive advantage
and nail the competition like others. Remember Ruger?

How:

1. Guns will have external safeties: target GLOCK!!!
Given SW like Colt couldn't really come up with a competitor.
Sigmas such and the SW 99 was bought from Walther - lets
put in a provision that will screw Glock, Kahr, Kel-tec and others.

Maybe we can sell some more 3rd generation semis (which are not bad guns)

2. No smart gun stuff on collectibles (HUH) - why, they just introduced a new Schofeld!

3. New designs will not be able to take old large cap mags. Gee, lots of us buy a new Glock
and and old hicap mag!! Negate the Glock advantage.

Another thing that annoys me. I would argue that the NRA attacks on Clinton were having
some effect. Some media were making the point of lack of enforcement of laws and that
trigger locks wouldn't have helped Kayla.

SW's announcement was at the worst time for the NRA offensive.

I wonder if SW was pressured to do this. It could have been made at a different time.

The NRA needs some serious moles in the gun industry to see what's up. While
I support them - they are strategic doofuses a lot of the time. Yes, I mail them
but it's like mailing Congress - who listens.

But they sent me a nice new hat for my renewal - it has an eagle and flag on it.

CNN says the state, city and fed. leos will now give preference to SW guns.

What a surprise?

We see now that both Colt and SW who have had lesser success in the LEO market - will sell out our rights to get those contracts.
