Comparing a 9mm carbine to a 9mm handgun ballistic test.

Interesting read, it's about what I would have expected. I'm contemplating getting a RRA AR-9mm, to go along with my 9mm handguns. As a fun range gun to help teach my kids to shoot. I'm also looking at this as a SHF gun, hunker in house until things settle. It's accurate enough to hit a man size target out to 150 yards. It will help keeps my ammo supplies simple (223, 9mm, 22 rimfire).

I keep a Hi Point 995 next to the bed, and always felt (with no data behind it) that a heavier bullet might serve me better than a lighter bullet. This data (comparing red apples to green apples, I know) makes me feel a little more comfortable in that choice.

Yes sir.
If you look at Wal Mart at those khaki work pants/shorts. It is a square like those with the pocket folded over. Very similar to denim.

I have the same two guns!

I have a Hi-Point C9 and a 995TS. One thing the article did not point out is that the carbine is more accurate than the handgun.

The carbine is definitely easier to shoot accurately than the handgun, but without a Ransom Rest it's hard to actually determine which one is truly more mechanically accurate.
