Compare 6.5 Swede and 6.5 Creedmore

As loaded by the major companies, the 6.5 Creedmoor will have a little bit of a velocity advantage because the Swede is pressure-limited so that it will be safe in vintage rifles.

However, the Swede has an advantage in case capacity which means that in modern rifles (and exceeding recommended load data for the 6.5 Swede) it should be able to safely outperform the Creedmoor in terms of velocity.

The Creedmoor is easier to shoehorn into an AR-10 type rifle due to the shorter case although the .260 Remington (6.5-08) would also fit this bill.

The Swede will have a lot more loading data and a lot more factory ammunition available. As of now, I'm aware of only one major manufacturer putting out factory ammo for the Creedmoor.
