I voted Kimber just because that's the only one I know well

I own two, family members own several and a close friend owns one. All of these are perfectly reliable and accurate. I don't have any first hand experience with the Wilson but I would not be surprised to learn that it too is perfectly reliable and accurate.

Kimber is the best for me so far. The best in general would have to go to Les Baer or Wilson or a custom maker. It all depends on how you mean best.

I don't know if it's the "best" because I haven't owned all those other guns. But, I carry a Kimber Compact and I like it so much, I think it would be hard to beat.

I own a Kimber Compact Aluminum, a very early Kimber Custom Shop called the Elite Carry, and a Wilson CQB Compact. The question was "Best". I voted Wilson..... If the question had been "Best Value"..... the vote would have been Kimber.

I carry the CQB or an Ed Brown Commander in a belt holster 95% of the time, but the Elite Carry is used inside a IWB with a thumb strap, strapped into a pocket in an Al Mar Jacket, when that is the carry mode I must use. The EC is lighter than the other two, and better suited for the pocket.

I have the same level of confidence in the EC as the other two, but the Wilson is more accurate, has a better trigger, and better sights.

Sig-Sauer P245.

Holy Smoke's; wait a minute!!! It's not
a 1911 style; I mis-read the original
post. Sorry, for the mistake.

I didn't vote because I would be hard pressed to decide.

If price was not a concern, STI. If is was, a Para Ord.
