compact 1911 style 9mm?

I need some ideas for a compact 1911 style pistol in 9mm. I want kind of a custom job so I have been looking at the STI LS9 and I think that is the pistol for me BUT what else is out there that is similar??? Thanks in advance!

Hello. I'm not sure if there are others, but I do think that were I buying such pistol, it would be the STI.

if you want "custom" get a basic model and have it worked over, I purchased one of the 9mm SA shown at the above link and just added a different thumb safety, some Ashley sights, and have been pretty happy with the result
