Comments on Remington 11-87 Police?

I was looking at the Remington 11-87 Police, but never shot one. I currently have an 870 Police (with black synthetic stock, 18-inch IC barrel and a 7-shot mag ext.) and love it for its reliability, ease of maintanance, durability and accuracy.

1. How does the 11-87 Police compare to the 870 Police form the reliability, durability, low maintanance and accuracy standpoint?

2. Please mention all the good and bad things about it. I heard that the rubber o-rings need to be replaced occasionally and that it does not handle light target loads too well.

3. Is there an advantage to buying an 11-87 Police vs. a regular 11-87?

4. Would you recommend an addition of this shotgun as a general purpose autoloader with an 18-inch (HD) and 28-inch (target) barrel? Or should I just stick to my 870?

Thanks for any input...

I like 11-87 Police. It is accurate with slugs, has low recoil (3" slugs are no problem), rifle sights work well for trap shooting (not sure why).

Down sides: peculiar manual of arms (though less so than Benelli), disassembly is not inuitive.

Would like to get one for my own someday.
