Comfortable Holster

Since I prefer a revolver for CCW, I have had some difficulty finding a suitable holster. Sorta by accident I found Mark Craighead at Crossbreed Holsters; since his price was very reasonable (he was offering a pre-Christmas special of $36.00) I decided to give him a try. My gun, a Taurus Stellar Tracker 2 inch, appears to fit well in a K frame holster, so that is the mold Mark used.

I received the holster 2 days ago (about a 3 week lead time - not the months some of the better known makers need) and have worn it 10 hours a day since. Carrying at 4 o'clock you don't actually forget the gun is there but man is it comfortable!

During the past two days I made dozens of trips up and down stairs, laid on a creeper under a project car, worked in the yard, went shopping for some supplies and never had to tug the gun into place.

Sitting down, standing up or laying on my back did not cause discomfort or any other problem.

The holster is not fancy or even pretty. It is quite simply made but it does what I bought it for and I have no problem recommending Mark to anyone seeking an inexpensive but functional IWB holster. You could spend $40 and get less function.

John,

Thank you for the info, I have always prefered the 4:00 po
sition, and would like to check this out!
Is there a web site?
Best regards,
Blair

I have one of his IWBs for my 5" 1911 and absolutely love it. I even have a review on his site. www.crossbreedholsters.com

He just introduced an new and IWB that is far more tuckable than the old one. I have used the old one as a tuckable for months, although I had commented a deeper tuck would be better. Mark has taken that advice and the new design adds this but takes away nothing. I will be orderring one in the next month or two.

I only wish he was able to make one for my Firestar M43...
