Comfortable Holster for relaxing in my house.

Recently there has been alot of break ins in my neighborhood and in my general area. Now I have guns scattered through different parts of the house for quick access heaven forbid. BUT I was wondering just incase to say I were just lounging around the house for the day in some comfort wear not designed told support the weight of a houlstered weapon, I was wondering if something like a belly band holster would be the the right thing or if anyone had any other idea or suggestions that would be great thank you.
 
I just slip a 642 in my pocket, whether I'm in the house or about.

It's comfortable, never know its there but it always is.
 
Yup, only I am even lazier, with a KelTec.
I figure by the time an intruder combs the .32s out of his eyebrows, I will have made it to the .45 or 12 ga.
 
I think a shoulder/vest holster like in WW2. The pistol is not under the arm but more on the chest. I think this would be best. Nothing on the waist to poke on your side while you sit. No buldge under the arm.
 
I refuse to have any kind of weapon on my person in my home, but if I for some strange reason felt the need to do so I would consider a shoulder holster.
 
Thank you for your replies. Yeah I want something comfortable like when I sit down. What about when you have some family or friends over but your still dressed in lounge wear you know. Shoulder holster under the shirt maybe?

I wear the same gun and holster I wear all day. No point in taking it off just because Im home. It goes on when I get up and comes off when I go to bed, and stays on my belt in my pants, ready to go, right by the bed.

You mean like this one, yes it is quite comfortable and faster then it looks. I carried this most of my Army/NG Career.

I don't know that a shoulder holster is going to be comfortable for just hanging out.

Like suggested above, a true pocket gun like a Ruger LCP is great for those times when a larger holstered gun just doesn't work.
 
I would go for the KT P3AT in a Fobus Paddle holster which I wear most of the time, although not at home.
That rig works with gym pants without pulling the pants down.

Yes, that is what i mean (or similar design). The full size pistol would be above the belt line and in the front.
Another option I guess would be an OWB cross draw but has to sit towards the front (10 o'clock) instead of the side.

If it is a small gun like a keltec or khar , then maybe a OWB that sits as 1 or 2 o'clock.
 
The clothes I put on in the morning will be same ones I take off at night same with pistol on AM off bed time I have never wore" comfort clothing "

I hope your never victim of a home invasion The gun in safe or shot gun behind door are likely to be out of reach. Home invasions are on the rise. Even out in country where I live . Their happening as they know police even if called are still 20 to 30 min away. .
 
I used to Gorilla Glue it to my hand, but I found it was hard to type that way. :D

I actually almost never carry around the house so its not a problem, but if I did I agree with pilpens, cross draw OWB would probably be the way I'd go if I did.

As for home invasions, its about 1/4 mile from the front gate to the front door, and they trip a switch coming through that rings a bell, so that's not really a problem I would have to consider.

Sounds like the bad guys have already won and there won't be any more relaxing at your house. Sorry to hear that.

For quick access to a weapon that can be fairly easy to keep within reach you could consider a sword cane. You might well have the "edge" if the intruder doesn't pass a half-dozen firearms on his way to you. ;)
 
i've got no kids. so whatever gun i have out that day i just carry it around the house, and put it on the coffee table, in the tool box, on the desk...

i've been known to wear holsters around the house of all kinds. shoulder, out side the waist band, thigh, not usually ankle but if im working it in, i will.
 
I've never had a problem with a simple belt holster being uncomfortable around my house.

If I am lounging on the couch and want to stretch out, I can just set it on the coffee table, desk or wherever I happen to be. Otherwise, its cozy on my belt.
 
I'm sorry if my silly opinion os out of line, but if you are that concerned about home invasion that you need to wear a gun full time, you shouldn't be "relaxing"
