Actually, the post is most applicable to the handgun forums, so it's good right here. The kind of problems that we were having in the handgun forums, especially the General Handgun Forum, were pretty much non-existent in other forums here.
People not paying attention to where they're slinging threads was an epidemic several weeks ago. Now it's a trickle.
The recent "Pretty Much Zero Tolerance Policy" has had the effect that I and my fellow mods have wanted, i.e., getting posts in the right place the first time so that TFL maintains its status as not only a great discussion board, but a great repository of firearms information.
"this forum locks and deletes more threads than any I've ever visited."
Not to cast aspersions at other forums you've visited (especially since I don't know what they are), we try to maintain rather high standards at TFL, standards first envisioned and laid down by TFL's Founder, Rich Lucibella.
Are we always successful? Nope.
Do all of our members agree with how we operate things here? Nope.
Does that mean that we're going to change? Not unless Rich wants us to.
So, all that said, closed.
