Combat course

Well, I took my first combat course yesterday and did better than expected in some areas and worse in others. I shot reasonably well but my reloading technique sucks. (Actually it was pitiful). I'm gonna get me some snap caps and teach myself how to speed load my revolvers.

Reloading well is an important revolver skill, but be aware that it takes many hours of practice at home with snap caps or dummy rounds. It also helps to have someone who knows what they're doing show you the movements. Reloading well is about efficiency and getting your hands to multi-task.

BTW, if speed is your primary criteria, look at Safariland CompIIIs or Jetloaders (my preference) and some kydex holders. Skip the twist-to-release type speedloaders.
