Can someone help me? Although I have no
problem w/the dissasembly of my 1911's
I can't for the life of me get the slide
stop out of this pistol. After lining up
the the witness marks on frame and slide,
the stop only comes out part way. Any clues?
Thanks, Bob

Not sure what pistol you mean. Do you mean the CZ75 in 40SW? If so I found the removal of the slide stop tough the first few times. Remove magazine, rack slide several times, then visually inspect to make sure pistol is unloaded. Now pointing the pistol in a safe direction place it in the palm of your dominant hand. Hold thum firmly in place and wrap other fingers over slide. Work the slide with your other hand. You should be able to hold the slide back along the disassembly notches with just your dominant hand. With your other hand use a non-marring tool (I use the butt of a thick roller pen) and press it hard against the slide stop. You need to push it all the way. Drop the pen and pull hard on the slide stop. Keeping your dominant hand grip firm at all times. If this doesn't work use a smaller diameter non-marring tool, I've used round plastic chopsticks, push the slide stop all the way out. After this use very fine grit sandpaper to wear some excess of the pin. Sometimes grime, finish (especially if it's a polymer finished pistol) or metal shavings will jam the pin. The key here is not to loosen your dominant hand grip.

So many pistols, so little money.

Thanks, The Z-40 was made by CZ and
marketed by Colt.

Tecolote,
Nope, still tight as hell. Definitely taking
a break from it though. Thanks again,
Bob
