Colt XSE to the range!

Took one of my new Colt XSE 1911s to the range today and put 250 rounds through it. This gun is completely stock excepting for Tritium sights added, and a Crimson Trace lasergrip. Say what you want, but Colt really knows how to build a 1911. The gun functioned 100% with cheap range remanufactured ammo. I used Colt, Chip McCormick, Checkmate, and Ruger magazines, including 1 CMC 10 rounder. Accuracy was good but not great probably due to my overcaffeinated state. Lots of bull's-eye shots, but a fair number of flyers too.

Really enjoyed the Colt XSE. Thank goodness I bought two of them before they became unavailable (new) in Democrat-occupied California.

I have the same pistol in stainless. It's a well-built and utterly reliable firearm. Colt knows how to build them, and considering the prices today (lower than when I got mine 5 years ago) they should be at the top of anyone's list for a mid-priced factory-made 1911. The only real critique I have at all it the somewhat sloppy fit of the aluminum trigger.
