6 inch S.S Pachmyer grips on it??????
Do you mean stainless steel? Colt never made the Trooper Mk3 in stainless, only in Electroless nickel, also known as "Colt Guard".
IMO the price is VERY right, and if it's electro nickel, even better, since the plated guns were low production items. In the original box makes it a "best buy".
Quality is absolutely top-of-the-line. I've owned about 6 .22 Trooper 3's and every one shot like a rifle.
Again IMO, it's the best 22 for DA shooting ever made. It has that massive cylinder, and the heavy barrel and frame. When shooting DA it just lays there.
Only lookout is not to dry fire without fired cases in the cylinder. Occasionally a Trooper 3 firing pin is too hard and will break if dry fired too much. Because of the design, it has to go back to Colt for replacement. NEVER try to replace one yourself, you can ruin the frame very easily.
Buy this one NOW, before somebody else gets it.
