It probably has something to do with the fact that Colt
isn't producing Pythons for sell to the general public
anymore? Seems as though they got scared of all the
law suit hype, that swallowed up Smith N' Wesson.
Also, pre 70's Pythons are highly sought after by
collectors. I have seen 70's models in 98%+ condition
going for as much as $1,000.00 a copy; but occassionally
you might find a little ole' widow lady that is willing to
depart with her deceased husbands Python for around
$750.00, but these cirsumstances are extremely rare.
