I have 2 Pythons ,V196xx and 39058E Can anyone tell me the mfg.dates and are they royal blue or just plain Colt Blue?

If I'm doing it right the E number is 1975 and the V is sometime after 1978. All references on Colt serials I have ever seen stop at 1978 and yours is later.

I believe that all blued Pythons were "Royal Blue" as Colt called it.
 
I also have a Python with an E suffix, but a 5 digit number that is larger than yours. Mine was made in 1978. If Mr. Dfariswheel is around, he can likely tell you when your guns were made.
