I found a six inch bright nickel python with wood grips on the net. The guy says it was made in 1980, and is in 98% shape. The photo looks good, but I asked a few more questions.

Anyway, he's asking 675 for it. Sounds pretty good to me. I'm tempted. Any advice???
 
Can you post where you found it? I promise I won't steal it from you. I don't have sufficient funds at the moment.

1980 may be real interesting. Most of the senior people talk about the Python being the best in the 60's and 70's. 1980 is pretty close.

Branrot, last January I bought a 6" nickel Python circa 1975 for $750. It's about 98% condition, having been fired, and has just one very minor scratch. I think I may have paid a little too much, but just a little. If you're going to buy it from this guy, make sure there's an inspection period, and that he has some kind of references (previous sales if it's gunsamerica.com or one of the online auctions).
