Colt Python Date of Birth??

That SN would make it a late 66. SN start at 67 was 61,000. You could get it lettered from Colt if you want to spend the money. If you are looking for books on Colt, R.L. Sutherland has two that are pretty good; The Book of Colt Firearms and Colt, an American Legend.
 
That should read R.L.Wilson. R.Q. Sutherland published the first edition of TBOCF in 1971. The second edition was published in 93 and has more in it than the first ed.
