Colt Python Cartridges

A rimfire Python?

I know that the Diamondback, and even the Trooper MKIII were made in rimfire versions, but I have never seen a rimfire Python.

I believe that Colt's finest was only made in .38 and .357, but I might be wrong...

The Colt Python has been chambered in .256 Win. Mag., .357 Mag., .38 Spl., .41 Mag., and .44 Spl. And yes, the Python was advertised in .22 LR & .22 Mag. but only a few prototypes were made in the rimfire calibers, no actual production. Hope this helps!

I read an article on sixguns.com that relates the (supposed) tale of the 100 or so .41 mag Pythons. It states that they are not Colt manufactured. Check it out. It's an interesting article.
