Colt Pocket Nine specs?

Avoid them.

Worst trigger I ever pulled on a gun. Built the darn thing on the beach.

And its been discontinued from what I remember.

Worst DA trigger on the planet. The gun was a neat idea but they got sued over the design and quit making it. I sold mine after the initial novelty wore off. Nobody wants a pistol that has a fifty pound trigger.

Well there is somthing for everyone in the gun world.

I have a Pocket Nine and it is the lightest and smallest 9mm on the planet. Mine has been utterly reliable and is a very pleasant shooter. It uses a fully locked breach.

Since it is DAO, you don't want a two pound trigger. I have no problem hitting a man size target at 20 feet just point shooting it. If I aim, using the novak lo mount style sites that come standard on Pocket Nines, it is amazingly accurate.

The measurements, taken from mine, are 1 1/4 inch at the fattest part of the grip, 3 3/4 from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the grip handle, 5 3/4 from the very back of the beaver tail to the tip of the barrel.

It weighs about 15 ounces empty. It fits in your pocket and gives you some fairly serious punch in a tiny, comfortable package. If you carry it IWB you will forget it is there.

FWIW: I had mine worked over by Scott, McDougall & Assoc. Melted all sharp edges, polished the trigger, and so on. It has proven to be a small, reliable, and potent pistol. Of course, it cost $$$ to make it so, but SMA is pretty picky about picking pistols that are basically sound platforms to work on. Mac Sctt's ministrations bring out the potential that these pistols have. Some pistols don't have even the potential to be made trustworthy.

optimist. I agree with you. I also sent my Nine to S,M & A for dehorning. Replacement grips could not be found so I made my own from walnut and oak. The trigger is stiff but this IS a pocket gun. This is the best small pistol I have yet in a decent caliber. My AMD was very nice but only .380.

Inspector Callahan. Colt was sued (by Kahr for the recoil spring) and did stop making them but the two things were not related. :)

I did not know that the Kahr suit included the return spring but also included was the offset lug on the barrel.

The offset lug allows a more compact trigger compartment.

They are an excellent and reliable 9mm pocket pistol.
