Colt Pocket 9, and KZ-40

I was in the range this past weekend and saw these 2. There was also the Pocket Lite(.380), but the Pocket Nine really impressed me as a neat CCW piece. The trigger was heavy and gritty, but I know those can be smoothed out. Also saw the KZ-40. This pistol was made by CZ in .40 with the "Colt" name on it. It was DAO and had an extremely smooth trigger pull, very light. It had a blocky slide but was not as heavy as it looked. The salesman said that Colt actually made them for an army in Europe, but didn't know which one(I didn't know why Colt made them but it seemed a realistic story). Both Pocket Nine and KZ-40 had a $550 price tag on them. I imagine since neither are in production they may acquire a collector's value at some point. When I asked the guy he laughed and said the KZ-40 has been on their shelf for MONTHS and it hasn't moved. Any thoughts?

In view of gritty trigger and reliability problems that Pocket 9 is reputed to have, I'd suggest Kahr pistols instead: same general size, better triggers and quality of manufacture.

The Pocket 9 can be had for $499 at Bachman Pawn and Gun. The KZ-40 has been sitting there because you can buy a CZ for about $200 less than that and in my area they were moving out the door for $425.
