Colt only makes 1911 in .38 Super!!!!

That is what was told to me by the sales guy at the biggest gun shop in Tri-Cities, WA. They only had .38 Super's (very fancy custom ones). You see, Colt can't make 'em in .45 due to lawsuits/deal with Army. Well, I didn't outright laugh in his face but I think he was getting worried. Anybody know what rumors may have led to such a weird statement from somebody who really should know what's what in the handgun world?????

In that case, where does a guy get a basic Colt 1911 .45, with rear adjustable sights at a decent price? Everything has gone *high tech* and so have the prices!!! I am looking for basics...

i agree BS meter off the chart, needle bending trying to go further.

as to where to get that, i wouldnt know, but i say not at that store.
 
Obla de obla da Colt goes on yah,la la la la Colt goes on. Don't think I've ever heard more rumors about anything,over a longer period of time,than I have about Colt. They're getting pretty creative out there.
