Colt OM Clark Reverse Plug installation

Hello & Happy Holidays,
I have an OM and ordered a Clark's Reverse Recoil Plug due to problem inherent to OM. Can anyone help me install? The spring tension precludes easy installation. Can I use factory spring (Wolff 22lb single)?
