Very nice, those old guns are well made. Your grips are from a later Colt Python, though. They are achieving prices of $300 nowadays alone. OMTs had usually service grips and OMMs had target grips, afaik. My youngest son will soon get an early inheritance from me, too. My 1961 rimfire OMM. He held it and there was an instant bond...

Pops used to have that exact OMM, well a pair in 38 & 22 as well
Wish they were still around.

The grips have a crack that have been repaired so that hurts the value of them.
I did find another pair of grips, but believe they are for the new service Python

As for the OMTs in general, I wouldn't know anything about them...

I am basically an S&W fan, but those OMTs and OMMs were, I think, the most accurate target revolvers ever made. Too bad they just cost too much to make, and of course today the target ranges have been pretty much taken over by auto pistols.

Everyone seems to hope that Colt will one day produce the DS or Python again; I hope they will produce the OMM, OMT or PPS.
