Colt Lightweight Sporter Advice

I have owned several postban AR 15's,which I enjoyed shooting.I have often thought I would like a lightweight,compact Ar however,and wanted advice.Should I buy a Colt lightweight to shoot,and possibly reduce the value of it significantly,or is this a fantasy I have created?

why wouldnt you shoot it.??what do you mean reduce the value?if your looking to make money on your investment may i suggest the stock market or money (CD) market bonds,savings account etc....guns are for enjoying.imho

I've got a Colt Lightweight Sporter and I don't have any hesitation about shooting it. There are so many ARs out there (including Colt's still) I don't see it becoming a real collector's item. Take pride in owning one of the last decent guns Colt's made and blast away.
